Welcome to my site! My name is Bob Waters and my day job for the past 30+ years has been in hospital administration although my avocation has always been wildlife photography. I have left the desk job to others and now enjoy a fantastic retirement doing what I love to do and what I was meant to do.
I think the coast of the Southern US has such a diversity of wildlife that one could spend their entire life being amazed at the variety of species that can be seen if one is quite and attentive.
I have revamped all of the pages and I think they look a great deal better.
I have been back to the Rookery several times and have watched one of the miracles of nature. There are babies in the Blue Heron Nests and in the Great White Egret nests. I am going back each week until the babies leave. I will create a new page Called the Rookery for these photos. I should have the first shots of nest building and feeding and hunting by the end of this week. I will be going to the Santee Cooper lakes in May - June to get some shots of Ospreys with babies. Hopefully will get some good shots of the adults fishing!
The site will be continually updated as I am now able to get out there and get some more photos. I have added 1 more page - on flowers and bees and scenes of the Lowcountry. This will include about everything the other pages do not.
This site will stay in a state of flux as I will be adding and deleting pictures fairly regularly. If you see something you like or want a photo of a specific bird, animal, flower or coastal scene, please email me and I will send photos of what I have. These will be in a pdf format. Almost all pictures can be processed in any size from 4x6 to whatever. Some would need to be in sizes such as 8x12 as they will not fit 8x10. If I do not have a specific picture and can take some, I will do it. NOTE: Some of the photos will appear "cropped" in the thumbnails. Click on the thumbnails to bring up the full picture - Thanks
